Social Security Recipients in Croatia Will No Longer Receive Paper Checks
By December 31, 2012, the Social Security Administration will no longer process and issue paper checks to its beneficiaries living in Croatia or elsewhere in the world. All benefits will be paid only through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) on a monthly basis either to a beneficiary’s U.S. bank account or to Zagrebačka Banka. No other Croatian banks are authorized to receive the EFT payments.

"Faces of Diversity," Digital Photo Exhibit
The US Embassy to Croatia is seeking entries from students for the Faces of Diversity photo exhibit in collaboration with NGO partner Fotoklub Zagreb. The exhibit aims to raise awareness of human rights, minority issues, and different forms of diversity – gender, religion, LGBT, ethnicity, language, age, etc. in Croatia.

2012 Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute
We are pleased to announce the competition for the 2012 Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute. The four-week Institute, which will take place during the month of July, will accommodate approximately 55 students: up to 45 European students plus 10 Americans, aged 16 to 18.
