Public Affairs Office

Robert Post
Counselor of Embassy for Public Affairs

Kenneth Wetzel
Assistant Public Affairs Officer

The Public Affairs Office has two main functions. It acts as the Embassy press office, and it runs most U.S. Government-funded cultural, information, and educational exchange programs (including Fulbright, Humphrey, and Junior Faculty Development programs). The goal of our activities is to promote greater understanding of NATO and Croatia’s role as a NATO member.  Broad public education and balanced discussion provide a deeper understanding of NATO’s values, history, structure and activities.

Public Affairs also maintains the Information Resource Center (IRC) at the Embassy, which provides information support to Croatian government offices and insitutions, Embassy officers, and to the American and Croatian general publics. The IRC has available current, comprehensive information about the United States, in electronic and/or print formats.
