Historic vote in U.S. Senate for Croatia
September 26, 2008
ZAGREB, September 26, 2008 - Yesterday marked a historic moment in U.S. Croatian relations: the U.S. Senate voted to approve Croatia’s and Albania’s NATO Accession Protocols to the Washington Treaty. One of the first countries to vote on this important document, the United States eagerly looks forward to welcoming Croatia as a full partner in NATO. In April President Bush confirmed U.S. support for Croatia’s security and territorial integrity. Yesterday’s vote further demonstrates this commitment.
