US Naval Ship Bobo Visits Split
The United States Naval Ship (USNS) 2nd LT John Bobo will arrive in Split on October 22 for a port visit that will last until November 2. The purpose of the visit is to allow the USNS Bobo’s crew rest and relaxation.
The USNS Bobo belongs to the United States Military Sealift Command prepositioning ship program which strategically places military equipment and supplies aboard ships located in key ocean areas to ensure rapid availability during a major theater war, a humanitarian operation or other contingency. The USNS Bobo is named after Medal of Honor recipient, United States Marine 2nd LT John Bobo.
