USS San Antonio to Visit Split, March 6-9, 2009

USS San Antonio

Zagreb, March 5, 2009 - The United States Navy ship USS San Antonio (LPD 17) is scheduled to visit Split, Croatia, from 6 to 9 March 2009. USS San Antonio is the first ship in a new class of amphibious transport dock ships. The purpose of this port visit in Split is to give the USS San Antonio’s 415 US Navy sailors and 385 US Marines an opportunity to enjoy some rest and recreation. USS San Antonio is under the command of Commander (Kapetan Fregate) Eric Cash, US Navy.
