AMBASSADOR J. CHRISTIAN KENNEDY, SPECIAL ENVOY FOR HOLOCAUST ISSUES AT THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE VISITS CROATIA SEPTEMBER 20-21, 2007
Zagreb, September 20, 2007 -- Ambassador J. Christian Kennedy, Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues at the U.S. Department of State, is visiting Croatia September 20-21. Ambassador Kennedy is the principal advisor to the Secretary on foreign policy issues relating to the era of Nazi rule in Germany and Europe.
While in Zagreb, he is meeting with Minister of Culture Bozo Biskupic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice Snjezana Bagic, and Croatian Parliamentarians from the Judiciary Committee to discuss property restitution, as a follow-up on meetings he held with Croatian Government officials in February 2007.
Ambassador Kennedy's visit to Zagreb is part of a regional trip which included a visit to the Vatican. Following his meetings in Zagreb, Ambassador Kennedy is continuing to Warsaw.
