Ambassador Nuland Heads NATO Delegation to Zagreb

AMBASSADOR NULAND HEADS NATO DELEGATION TO ZAGREB

Zagreb, November 8, 2007  --  Ambassador Victoria Nuland, U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, will visit Zagreb November 8-9 at the head of a delegation of senior U.S. Government officials including Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Daniel Fata.  The delegation is visiting the capitals of Adriatic Charter countries to discuss reforms in advance of the NATO Summit in Bucharest next April.   During the visit, the delegation will meet with President Mesic, Prime Minister Sanader, Foreign Minister Grabar-Kitarovic, Defense Minister Roncevic and representatives of opposition parties.  Ambassador Nuland will also hold a roundtable discussion organized by the Forum for Security Studies at the Political Science Faculty with Croatian NGO representatives and students.
