CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION HEADED BY REPRESENTATIVE JERRY COSTELLO VISITS CROATIA AUGUST 22-24

Dubrovnik, August 23, 2007 -- A congressional delegation headed by Representative Jerry Costello (D-IL) visited Dubrovnik August 22-24, meeting with Croatian Foreign Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic and receiving briefings on airport and maritime security from airport, border police, harbor, and customs officials. Other delegation members included: John Duncan (R-TN), Solomon Ortiz (D-TX), Robert E. "Bud" Cramer (D-AL), Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), Tim Holden (D-PA), Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX), Nydia Velazquez (D-NY), Leonard Boswell (D-IA), Ruben Hinojosa (D-TX), Michael Capuano (D-MA) and Henry Brown (R-SC). The delegation arrived in Dubrovnik after visits to Tunis and Istanbul. Following meetings in Dubrovnik, the delegation will proceed to Verona and Hamburg prior to returning to Washington.
