A Message from U.S. Ambassador to
Dear Business Leader,
I am proud to announce the second year of Fulbright for the Future, our new educational exchange under the prestigious Fulbright program, in partnership with private industry and with the full support of the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. Under this program, Croatian professionals under the age of 35 have the opportunity to compete for scholarships to study in the United States in fields such as Economics, Business, Law and Environmental Management, among others.
This program is a landmark in a 44-year history of U.S. exchanges with Croatia, expanding a tradition that every year reaches into the highest levels of academia, government and business. Thanks to generous corporate sponsorship under Fulbright for the Future, two exceptionally qualified Croatian finalists were selected last year for full scholarships leading towards Master’s degrees in their fields. Participants benefit from America’s unparalleled postsecondary educational offerings and are exposed to the best elements of critical thinking, academic integrity and leadership skills that the United States can offer. They will also return carrying the kind of credentials that can only be conferred by America’s finest institutions of higher learning.
Importantly, our partnership with the private sector is a clear signal to the Croatian public and leadership alike of our combined faith in Croatia’s future and our determination to be a part of it.
