Passport Renewal - Adults

You may apply for your passport by following the instructions on this page if:

• You are at least 18 years old at the time of application; and
• Your most recent passport was issued when you were 16 years of age or older; and
• Your most recent passport was issued within the last 15 years; and
• Your most recent passport was not limited, i.e. it was issued for its full five- or ten-year validity (see note below for exceptions to this requirement); and
• You are able to submit the passport with this application; and
• You are not requesting a change in the passport data, other than a name change due to marriage or a court order

If the above applies to you, please submit your passport for renewal as follows:

Complete a passport application DS-82 for adult renewals.

Photos

Submit one color photograph taken within the past 6 months, 2" X 2" (5 cm x 5 cm) size with white or off-white background. Digital photos are not generally acceptable. There is a photo machine in the waiting room of the consular section which can take photos for a fee of 40 Kuna (payable in Kuna only).

Fee

$110.00. Payment may be made in U.S. Dollars, Croatian Kuna. Additionally, you may apply by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or Diners Club) if you are applying in person. Personal checks are not accepted.

To submit your passport for renewal, you can:

• Send your passport, appropriate forms and payment to us by mail at:

Please indicate whether you would like to pick your passport up or if you would like to receive it by mail.

• Leave your passport, appropriate forms and payment in the drop box located at the front gate of the consular section.  Please indicate whether you would like to pick you passport up or if you would like to receive it by mail.
• Make an appointment to submit your passport in person.

Please note that processing times for renewal are the same, regardless of method to submitting your passport. Processing typically takes 7-10 days. Passports are processed at the National Passport Center and sent to Embassy Zagreb via express mail.
