How Do I Apply?
No Appointments Necessary
The following categories of applicants do not need to make an appointment but can present themselves at the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM (except for Croatian and U.S. holidays). Applications can also be sent by mail. Passport with visa can be picked up the next working day at 3:00 PM or be sent by registered mail if an addressed envelope with adequate stamps has been enclosed. The following documents are required for the visa application: passport, completed visa application form with photo, fee receipt from Zagrebačka Banka, and any other supporting documents applicants may wish to bring.
- Croatian passport holders 80 years of age and older who have not been refused a visa before;
- Employees of foreign governments or international organizations who are traveling to the U.S. on official business (visa categories A-1, A-2, C-2, C-3, G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, or NATO visas).
Even in the above cases, the Consul reserves the right to request a personal interview with the applicant. Applicants should be prepared to travel to the Embassy for an interview if requested to do so.
