DHS Redress Procedure for Inconvenienced Travelers
On occasion Embassy Zagreb is contacted by foreign travelers to the United States who have been delayed or denied boarding, missed flights, are consistently sent to secondary screening, or who have even been detained due to security alerts about individuals with similar biographic information to that of the traveler.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) offers a redress process for travelers wishing to be clearly identified as not the subject of such alerts. Travelers can request an audit of their case by completing and signing the redress request form located at http://www.dhs.gov/trip and following the website instructions for submitting the form to DHS.
